Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem

1. Al haaaqqah
2. Mal haaaqqah
3. Wa maaa adraaka mal haaaqqah
4. Kazzabat samoodu wa 'Aadum bil qaari'ah
5. Fa-ammaa Samoodu fauhlikoo bittaaghiyah
6. Wa ammaa 'Aadun fa uhlikoo bireehin sarsarin 'aatiyah
7. Sakhkharahaa 'alaihim sab'a la yaalinw wa samaaniyata ayyaamin husooman fataral qawma feehaa sar'aa ka annahum a'jaazu nakhlin khaawiyah
8. Fahal taraa lahum mim baaqiyah
9. Wa jaaa'a Firawnu wa man qablahoo wal mu'tafikaatu bilhaati'ah
10. Fa'ansaw Rasoola Rabbihim fa akhazahum akhzatar raabiyah
11. Innaa lammaa taghal maaa'u hamalnaakum fil jaariyah
12. Linaj'alahaa lakum tazki ratanw-wa ta'iyahaa unzununw waa'iyah
13. Fa izaa nufikha fis soori nafkhatunw waahidah
14. Wa humilatil ardu wal jibaalu fadukkataa dakkatanw waahidah
15. Fa yawma'izinw waqa'atil waaqi'ah
16. Wanshaqqatis samaaa'u fahiya yawma 'izinw-waahiyah
17. Wal malaku 'alaaa arjaaa'ihaa; wa yahmilu 'Arsha Rabbika fawqahum yawma'izin samaaniyah
18. Yawma'izin tu'radoona laa takhfaa min kum khaafiyah
19. Fa ammaa man ootiya kitaabahoo biyameenihee fa yaqoolu haaa'umuq ra'oo kitaabiyah
20. Innee zannantu annee mulaaqin hisaabiyah
21. Fahuwa fee 'eeshatir raadiyah
22. Fee jannnatin 'aaliyah
23. Qutoofuhaa daaniyah
24. Kuloo washraboo haneee'am bimaaa aslaftum fil ayyaamil khaliyah
25. Wa ammaa man ootiya kitaabahoo bishimaalihee fa yaqoolu yaalaitanee lam oota kitaaabiyah
26. Wa lam adri maa hisaabiyah
27. Yaa laitahaa kaanatil qaadiyah
28. Maaa aghnaa 'annee maaliyah
29. Halaka 'annee sultaaniyah
30. Khuzoohu faghullooh
31. Summal Jaheema sallooh
32. Summa fee silsilatin zar'uhaa sab'oona ziraa'an faslukooh
33. Innahoo kaana laa yu'minubillaahil 'Azeem
34. wa laa yahuddu 'alaa ta'aamil miskeen
35. Falaysa lahul yawma haahunaa hameem
36. Wa laa ta'aamun illaa min ghisleen
37. Laa yaakuluhooo illal khati'oon
38. Falaaa uqsimu bimaa tubsiroon
39. Wa maa laa tubsiroon
40. Innahoo laqawlu Rasoolin kareem
41. Wa ma huwa biqawli shaa'ir; qaleelam maa tu'minoon
42. Wa laa biqawli kaahin; qaleelam maa tazakkaroon
43. Tanzeelum mir rabbil 'aalameen
44. Wa law taqawwala 'alainaa ba'dal aqaaweel
45. La-akhaznaa minhu bilyameen
46. Summa laqata'naa minhul wateen
47. Famaa minkum min ahadin'anhu haajizeen
48. Wa innahoo latazkiratul lilmuttaqeen
49. Wa inna lana'lamu anna minkum mukazzibeen
50. Wa innahu lahasratun 'alal kaafireen
51. Wa innahoo lahaqqul yaqeen
52. Fassabbih bismi Rabbikal 'Azeem

Abdullah Yusuf Ali Translation

1. The Sure Reality!

2. What is the Sure Reality?

3. And what will make thee realise what the Sure Reality is?

4. The Thamud and the 'Ad People (branded) as false the Stunning Calamity!

5. But the Thamud,- they were destroyed by a terrible Storm of thunder and lightning!

6. And the 'Ad, they were destroyed by a furious Wind, exceedingly violent;

7. He made it rage against them seven nights and eight days in succession: so that thou couldst see the (whole) people lying prostrate in its (path), as they had been roots of hollow palm-trees tumbled down!

8. Then seest thou any of them left surviving?

9. And Pharaoh, and those before him, and the Cities Overthrown, committed habitual Sin.

10. And disobeyed (each) the apostle of their Lord; so He punished them with an abundant Penalty.

11. We, when the water (of Noah's Flood) overflowed beyond its limits, carried you (mankind), in the floating (Ark),

12. That We might make it a Message unto you, and that ears (that should hear the tale and) retain its memory should bear its (lessons) in remembrance.

13. Then, when one blast is sounded on the Trumpet,

14. And the earth is moved, and its mountains, and they are crushed to powder at one stroke,-

15. On that Day shall the (Great) Event come to pass.

16. And the sky will be rent asunder, for it will that Day be flimsy,

17. And the angels will be on its sides, and eight will, that Day, bear the Throne of thy Lord above them.

18. That Day shall ye be brought to Judgment: not an act of yours that ye hide will be hidden.

19. Then he that will be given his Record in his right hand will say: "Ah here! Read ye my Record!

20. "I did really understand that my Account would (One Day) reach me!"

21. And he will be in a life of Bliss,

22. In a Garden on high,

23. The Fruits whereof (will hang in bunches) low and near.

24. "Eat ye and drink ye, with full satisfaction; because of the (good) that ye sent before you, in the days that are gone!"

25. And he that will be given his Record in his left hand, will say: "Ah! Would that my Record had not been given to me!

26. "And that I had never realised how my account (stood)!

27. "Ah! Would that (Death) had made an end of me!

28. "Of no profit to me has been my wealth!

29. "My power has perished from me!"...

30. (The stern command will say): "Seize ye him, and bind ye him,

31. "And burn ye him in the Blazing Fire.

32. "Further, make him march in a chain, whereof the length is seventy cubits!

33. "This was he that would not believe in Allah Most High.

34. "And would not encourage the feeding of the indigent!

35. "So no friend hath he here this Day.

36. "Nor hath he any food except the corruption from the washing of wounds,

37. "Which none do eat but those in sin."

38. So I do call to witness what ye see,

39. And what ye see not,

40. That this is verily the word of an honoured apostle;

41. It is not the word of a poet: little it is ye believe!

42. Nor is it the word of a soothsayer: little admonition it is ye receive.

43. (This is) a Message sent down from the Lord of the Worlds.

44. And if the apostle were to invent any sayings in Our name,

45. We should certainly seize him by his right hand,

46. And We should certainly then cut off the artery of his heart:

47. Nor could any of you withhold him (from Our wrath).

48. But verily this is a Message for the Allah.fearing.

49. And We certainly know that there are amongst you those that reject (it).

50. But truly (Revelation) is a cause of sorrow for the Unbelievers.

51. But verily it is Truth of assured certainty.

52. So glorify the name of thy Lord Most High.

ARABIC -

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ 1. ٱلْحَآقَّةُ
2. مَا ٱلْحَآقَّةُ
3. وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلْحَآقَّةُ
4. كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ وَعَادٌۢ بِٱلْقَارِعَةِ
5. فَأَمَّا ثَمُودُ فَأُهْلِكُوا۟ بِٱلطَّاغِيَةِ
6. وَأَمَّا عَادٌ فَأُهْلِكُوا۟ بِرِيحٍ صَرْصَرٍ عَاتِيَةٍ
7. سَخَّرَهَا عَلَيْهِمْ سَبْعَ لَيَالٍ وَثَمَٰنِيَةَ أَيَّامٍ حُسُومًا فَتَرَى ٱلْقَوْمَ فِيهَا صَرْعَىٰ كَأَنَّهُمْ أَعْجَازُ نَخْلٍ خَاوِيَةٍ
8. فَهَلْ تَرَىٰ لَهُم مِّنۢ بَاقِيَةٍ
9. وَجَآءَ فِرْعَوْنُ وَمَن قَبْلَهُۥ وَٱلْمُؤْتَفِكَٰتُ بِٱلْخَاطِئَةِ
10. فَعَصَوْا۟ رَسُولَ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَخَذَهُمْ أَخْذَةً رَّابِيَةً
11. إِنَّا لَمَّا طَغَا ٱلْمَآءُ حَمَلْنَٰكُمْ فِى ٱلْجَارِيَةِ
12. لِنَجْعَلَهَا لَكُمْ تَذْكِرَةً وَتَعِيَهَآ أُذُنٌ وَٰعِيَةٌ
13. فَإِذَا نُفِخَ فِى ٱلصُّورِ نَفْخَةٌ وَٰحِدَةٌ
14. وَحُمِلَتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ وَٱلْجِبَالُ فَدُكَّتَا دَكَّةً وَٰحِدَةً
15. فَيَوْمَئِذٍ وَقَعَتِ ٱلْوَاقِعَةُ
16. وَٱنشَقَّتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَهِىَ يَوْمَئِذٍ وَاهِيَةٌ
17. وَٱلْمَلَكُ عَلَىٰٓ أَرْجَآئِهَا ۚ وَيَحْمِلُ عَرْشَ رَبِّكَ فَوْقَهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ ثَمَٰنِيَةٌ
18. يَوْمَئِذٍ تُعْرَضُونَ لَا تَخْفَىٰ مِنكُمْ خَافِيَةٌ
19. فَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِىَ كِتَٰبَهُۥ بِيَمِينِهِۦ فَيَقُولُ هَآؤُمُ ٱقْرَءُوا۟ كِتَٰبِيَهْ
20. إِنِّى ظَنَنتُ أَنِّى مُلَٰقٍ حِسَابِيَهْ
21. فَهُوَ فِى عِيشَةٍ رَّاضِيَةٍ
22. فِى جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٍ
23. قُطُوفُهَا دَانِيَةٌ
24. كُلُوا۟ وَٱشْرَبُوا۟ هَنِيٓـًٔۢا بِمَآ أَسْلَفْتُمْ فِى ٱلْأَيَّامِ ٱلْخَالِيَةِ
25. وَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِىَ كِتَٰبَهُۥ بِشِمَالِهِۦ فَيَقُولُ يَٰلَيْتَنِى لَمْ أُوتَ كِتَٰبِيَهْ
26. وَلَمْ أَدْرِ مَا حِسَابِيَهْ
27. يَٰلَيْتَهَا كَانَتِ ٱلْقَاضِيَةَ
28. مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنِّى مَالِيَهْ ۜ
29. هَلَكَ عَنِّى سُلْطَٰنِيَهْ
30. خُذُوهُ فَغُلُّوهُ
31. ثُمَّ ٱلْجَحِيمَ صَلُّوهُ
32. ثُمَّ فِى سِلْسِلَةٍ ذَرْعُهَا سَبْعُونَ ذِرَاعًا فَٱسْلُكُوهُ
33. إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ لَا يُؤْمِنُ بِٱللَّهِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ
34. وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ ٱلْمِسْكِينِ
35. فَلَيْسَ لَهُ ٱلْيَوْمَ هَٰهُنَا حَمِيمٌ
36. وَلَا طَعَامٌ إِلَّا مِنْ غِسْلِينٍ
37. لَّا يَأْكُلُهُۥٓ إِلَّا ٱلْخَٰطِـُٔونَ
38. فَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِمَا تُبْصِرُونَ
39. وَمَا لَا تُبْصِرُونَ
40. إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوْلُ رَسُولٍ كَرِيمٍ
41. وَمَا هُوَ بِقَوْلِ شَاعِرٍ ۚ قَلِيلًا مَّا تُؤْمِنُونَ
42. وَلَا بِقَوْلِ كَاهِنٍ ۚ قَلِيلًا مَّا تَذَكَّرُونَ
43. تَنزِيلٌ مِّن رَّبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
44. وَلَوْ تَقَوَّلَ عَلَيْنَا بَعْضَ ٱلْأَقَاوِيلِ
45. لَأَخَذْنَا مِنْهُ بِٱلْيَمِينِ
46. ثُمَّ لَقَطَعْنَا مِنْهُ ٱلْوَتِينَ
47. فَمَا مِنكُم مِّنْ أَحَدٍ عَنْهُ حَٰجِزِينَ
48. وَإِنَّهُۥ لَتَذْكِرَةٌ لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ
49. وَإِنَّا لَنَعْلَمُ أَنَّ مِنكُم مُّكَذِّبِينَ
50. وَإِنَّهُۥ لَحَسْرَةٌ عَلَى ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ
51. وَإِنَّهُۥ لَحَقُّ ٱلْيَقِينِ
52. فَسَبِّحْ بِٱسْمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلْعَظِيمِ
