Professional Achievements

Amjad Malik is a Solicitor-Advocate of the Supreme Court of England and Wales and is a member at Law Society's Immigration Law Committee, and has lectured for two years for the award of ILEX diploma in Immigration Law at Oldham College. He completed his legal education and Legal Practice Course during 1994-98 from Huddersfield University following his Masters in English Literature from Pakistan. He also completed a diploma in Immigration Law in 2000 from UK and his LLM (Master of Laws) on Immigration Law and Practice on 'national security deportation' from Huddersfield University in July 2002.

His achievements in the Immigration and Human Rights field are noteworthy as he was awarded 'Young Rights Lawyer (Peter Duffy)' award of the year 2000 for his excellent casework representations for Asian females Who are victims of domestic violence and also Young Solicitors Pro Bono Group named him for national 'Young Solicitors Pro Bono Award 2001'.



Amjad sits on 'Foreign and Commonwealth Office Pro Bono Lawyers panel' and also a member of the 'The North West Legal Services Commission Comittee'. Amjad has represented British Citizen abroad who are victims of forced marriage and is currently challenging raising concern about various provisions of Immigration Law and rules under Human Rights Act 1998.



His work includes representation of his clients in all higher courts, assisting victims of forced marriages, domestic violence, and those who feel that they have limited access to British judicial system due to some barriers.
